FALL CAMP allows Christ to shape and sharpen men AND WOMEN IN AN OUTDOOR SETTING for His kingdom’s work.

Fall Camp is a structured outdoor skills camp sponsored by the Royal Ambassadors ministry of Texans On Mission. It is designed to increase the knowledge and skills of adults under the leadership of Christ. Fall Camp utilizes a progressive method of learning the basic, intermediate, and advanced levels of Campcraft skills in order to live outdoors safely and comfortably.  

All adults 18 years of age or older are eligible to attend. Must be 18 years or older to attend.


Registration

Registration Cost

For Challengers, Frontiersman, Outdoorsman, Voyager, Basic Instructor and Advanced Instructor.

  • $100 $160 – Early Bird Registration before Sept. 21
  • $160 – Regular Registration after Sept. 21

Your registration includes all meals, camping fees, and instruction. You will need to bring your own personal gear and equipment for the outdoor experience. A packing list is available below.

Online registration is required. Space is limited!

Unit Descriptions

Campcraft has an advancement track for adults. Each level builds on the foundations of previous levels, and each level has a goal to help you teach and lead in your next outdoor activity. Below are some short descriptions of the levels.

FOUNDATIONS

Frontiersman (Friday - Sunday)

Introduces an adult to basic camping skills to increase their personal knowledge, abilities and comfort level with experiences in outdoor living. It operates from one base camp for duration of event.

Texans on Mission Adult Campcraft prerequisite: none

Outdoorsman (Thursday - Monday)

Introduces an adult to intermediate camping skills to increase their personal knowledge, abilities and comfort level with experiences in outdoor living. It uses backpacking skills to move among multiple sites.

Texans on Mission Adult Campcraft prerequisite: Frontiersman

Voyager (Thursday - Monday)

Introduces an adult to advanced camping skills to increase their personal knowledge, abilities and comfort level with experiences in outdoor living. It uses multiple modes of travel to move nightly among various destinations.

INSTRUCTOR

Basic Instructor (Friday - Sunday)

Introduces an adult leader to the knowledge and abilities of teaching skills to other adults in the Frontiersman level of the adult campcraft program. It includes orientation and skills demonstration.

Texans on Mission Adult Campcraft prerequisite: Frontiersman

Advanced Instructor (Thursday - Monday)

Introduces an adult leader to the knowledge and abilities of teaching skills to other adults in the Frontiersman, Outdoorsman and Voyager levels of the adult campcraft program. It includes orientation and skills demonstration.

Texans on Mission Adult Campcraft prerequisite: Voyager, Basic Instructor

Trip Leader Assistant (Thursday - Monday)

Introduces an adult leader to the knowledge and abilities of camping skills with an emphasis upon leading other participants safely in an extended (Voyager) trip camping experience. Each candidate assists in planning and leading the experience.

Texans on Mission Adult Campcraft prerequisite: Advanced Instructor

Trip Leader (Thursday - Monday)

Provides additional instruction to an adult leader with an emphasis upon leading other participants safely into an extended (Voyager) trip camping experience. Each candidate is the primary leader on the experience and is evaluated by a Texans on Mission Trip Leader Instructor.

Resource Camp

Resource Camp is for those who wish to attend for the fellowship and shared experience of this outdoor event. Some Resource Camp leaders will help with the logistics of running a successful Fall Camp, but such assignments are not required to attend Resource Camp.

Lodging: Personal cot in the screened shelter (limited spots), personal tent, or hammock. Electricity is available, bring an extension cord.

Spiritual Training

Each camper is encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to develop spiritually by engaging in both personal and corporate worship experiences and activities which direct focus upon God’s Word such as daily Bible study and camp-wide campfire services. Each training unit within Fall Camp will also have daily devotionals and prayer time.
