Texans on Mission helps put lives back together. We give structure and process to channel volunteer work into productive assistance for people in need. 

We don’t just jump and do what we want to do. We find out the specific needs and then connect volunteers with ways to meet those needs in an organized and helpful manner.

Serve Brownsville - 2026 Mission Trip

The Texas counties along the Rio Grande River are among the poorest in the country. Families living in rural areas known as colonias are struggling, often living in substandard housing. They live in a constant state of crisis.

Christ sees their plight and is calling His followers to share His love by meeting needs in the area. Is He calling you to serve?

Join Texans on Mission as we build twin beds for children, host local block parties, and distribute school supplies and First Step Kits in Brownsville. No experience is necessary, and ages 16 and up are welcome. Space is limited. The deadline to register is July 1, 2026.

*All participants must complete a background check and Ministry Safe training prior to the mission trip.*

Cost: $300

Texans on Mission will provide:

  • Housing (bedding, pillows, towels will be provided)

  • Drinks

  • Meals

  • All equipment and materials needed for project

  • Does not include transportation costs to Harlingen/Brownsville
