TXM doubles volunteer hours in 2024 to meet needs, share Christ

One year sometimes stands out among all the years that preceded it. Texans on Missions had such a year in 2024, said Mickey Lenamon, chief executive officer. “We’ve had great years of service in the past,” Lenamon said, “but last year stands out for the cumulative impact accomplished in helping people and leading them to Christ.”

The curious case of the missing ring: An RA Missions Mania mystery story

On the night of Friday, Nov. 8, Abel Kent had one thing on his mind: Asking his girlfriend Katelin “Kat” Weikel to marry him. The pair were both sponsors of youth from Providential Baptist Church in Pearland attending Royal Ambassadors Campout and Missions Mania, a youth discipleship event at Latham Springs Camp and Retreat Center in Aquilla. Abel had picked the venue purposefully.

Texas RA trainers lead camp for young men in Kenya

Thirty-six Kenyan teenage boys and young men came together in November for a leadership training camp In Eldoret, Kenya. At the end, 13 of them accepted a challenge to lead future gatherings locally and start encouraging other boys and men. Six Kenya churches brought together the group in Eldoret, about 200 miles northwest of Nairobi. Five adult leaders of Texas Royal Ambassadors, a ministry of Texans on Mission, provided the training.
