Two more teams of Texans on Mission volunteers worked in North Carolina in January, continuing rebuilds after damage caused by Hurricane Helene. These teams are from First Baptist Church of Woodway and Trinity Church of Grand Island, New York,
“We had a wonderful experience and want to go back again in August,” said René Maciel, missions pastor at First Woodway. “We fell in love with the church and pastor where we stayed and want to connect with him again. We also want to assist an Hispanic church in that community.”
Helene was a major set back for many residents. It will be an ongoing effort to help people move back into their homes. More teams are scheduled to deploy in February to continue the rebuild process.
Please pray for those struggling to recover and for those providing help, hope and healing at this time.
