Texans on Mission gathered ministry leaders, board members and supporters at the Estancia Del Norte hotel on Sept. 22 for its 2026 convention, celebrating a year of expanding disaster relief and long-term recovery efforts, global water projects and growing God’s kingdom by providing help, hope and healing.

The day’s events included a board meeting, reception, dinner and an evening program dedicated to highlighting accomplishments and milestones throughout the year.

Among the distinguished guests in attendance was Richard Brunson, director of Baptists on Mission. During the evening, TXM President Ronaldo Aguirre presented a monetary gift donated to the ministry by the Hispanic Baptist Men’s Retreat.

In his address, TXM CEO Mickey Lenamon outlined the organization's focus and strategic priorities. Lenamon highlighted global well-drilling and water initiatives that are providing clean water in Uganda and South Sudan. Domestically, he emphasized disaster relief readiness, long-term rebuilding operations in Kerr County, volunteer capacity building and the vital role of spiritually equipping volunteers to share the Gospel in the field.

The human impact of that work was brought to the stage during a special panel featuring Kerr County homeowners Trissa Aspra and Brian Olsen. Both shared their personal journeys of recovery after TXM volunteers helped rebuild their homes following the devastating 2025 flash floods in Kerr County.

W. Nim Kidd, chief of the Texas Division of Emergency Management, served as the keynote speaker for the evening. Kidd expressed deep appreciation for the ministry’s ongoing partnership with the state, reinforcing the critical necessity of volunteer disaster relief organizations like TXM during times of crisis.

TXM extends its heartfelt gratitude to all board members, partners, guests and volunteers who attended the convention and continue to support the ministry’s mission across Texas and around the world.
