TDEM, local groups tour TXM rebuild sites in Kerr County

Director of Disaster Relief Phillip Ditto said he wanted to give officials the opportunity to connect with the survivors TXM has assisted, to hear their stories and to see first-hand the rebuilding progress our organization has accomplished.

American Red Cross grants TXM $750,000 for continued Hill Country rebuilding efforts

The grant will support home repairs and rebuilding projects, provide transitional housing for displaced residents and address the effects of disaster-caused trauma in communities affected by the flooding.

‘What we do matters’: Reflecting on TXM’s year of recovery in the Hill Country

While thousands of volunteers from various disaster response organizations rushed to Kerrville in the days following the flood, they ceased their work within weeks. TXM remains one of only a handful still serving in the area a year later, continuing what has become the organization's longest rebuild effort in its history.

‘They’re the real deal’: Revive leaders reflect on student growth during Kerrville trip

Forty-nine students from across Texas donned yellow T-shirts and travelled to Kerrville last week for Texans on Missions’s summer Revive trip. From Sunday through Wednesday, these volunteer youth worked hard on service projects under the hot sun, connecting with homeowners and growing in both skill and spirit.

TXM wraps up in Jamaica, rebuilds children’s homes

March 28 marked Texans on Mission's final day of service work in Montego Bay following Hurricane Melissa, capping five months of recovery work that brought rebuilding efforts and renewed hope to families and children’s homes.

Volunteers find rest, resources at Texas Lions Camp during flood rebuild

Throughout mid-March, Texas Lions Camp hosted groups from Oak Ridge Baptist Church, Northside Baptist Church, First Baptist Church Amarillo, First Methodist Mansfield, Redeemer Church and South Texas Children’s Home Ministries as they volunteered with Texans on Mission to help rebuild homes in Kerr County.
