You can help bring help, hope and healing to the Rio Grande Valley after severe flooding. 

After experiencing heavy rains, many communities in the Rio Grande Valley suffered from severe flooding. Homes are damaged and hope is low. Join the Texans on Mission flood recovery relief efforts and help restore hope to hurting families.

No experience needed. We'll train you and provide all the tools you need. Sign up to serve in the Rio Grande Valley for one or more days.

  • Volunteers will be working with trained disaster relief teams in cleaning out homes that suffered extreme flooding.
  • Please wear closed-toe shoes, long pants (no shorts) and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Also bring a cap and sunscreen for protection from the sun. 
  • Lunch and drinks will be provided. If you have dietary restrictions, please bring a sack lunch. If staying longer than a day, please indicate on the form your restrictions, and someone will get in touch with you to discuss further. 
  • Texans on Mission will provide all the tools,
  • Day of service begins at 8 a.m. and typically ends at 4 p.m.
  • You are responsible for your transportation to work site. 
  • Lodging accommodations are available on a limited basis and must be reserved ahead of time.
